ANREV and PwC are happy to invite you to the presentation of the first survey conducted on real estate fund managers’ operations.
 
The benchmarking survey was designed to gather, analyse, and share information about key industry operational trends and metrics of real estate fund managers with significant operations in Asia Pacific.
 
The presentation will be done with a panel of industry professional to discuss industry practices relating to organisational information, governance, risk management, administration, valuation, technology and operations, regulatory information and reporting.

  Paul Walters
Partner
PwC
 
Paul is PwC’s Asia-Pacific Real Estate Assurance Leader, and serves as a regional representative on the PwC Global Real Estate Leadership team and industry technical committees, bringing a strong link into the global network of experience. Paul’s principle clients include public and private real estate funds and real estate entities. Paul also looks after other alternative asset class private funds. Paul has extensive experience on audit and advisory services, and also on advising clients on fund start-ups, fund listings, regulatory and compliance matters and internal controls around the investing, monitoring and operational functions. Paul sits on the Professionals Standards Committee of the Asia Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate (“ANREV”), and authors the PwC & ANREV Review of Investor Reporting Trends Report, and co-authors the PwC & ULI Emerging Trends in Real Estate Survey.
 
 

Randy Caenen

Currently, being based in Hong Kong, Randy Caenen is responsible for Risk Management regarding APG Asset Management’s investments in the Asia-Pacific region.
 
Prior to joining the Hong Kong office, Randy worked at APG Asset Management’s office in Amsterdam. Randy accumulated experience and knowledge in the fields of risk management, financial reporting, auditing, asset valuation and coordination of (project) teams. Among other things, Randy has been project board member for managing the AIFMD implementation project throughout APG Asset Management and is member APG Asset Management's global Emerging Markets Risk Committee.
 
Randy started his career at PwC where he coordinated many international financial services related assignments across Europe and the United States with a focus on Pension Funds, Sovereign Wealth Funds and Real Estate Funds.

  Justin Armstrong
Director
BlackRock


Justin Armstrong, Director, Head of Real Estate Fund Admin team for Asia Pacific.  Mr. Armstrong manages a team responsible for fund and investment accounting, financial reporting, and cash operations for the Asian real estate funds managed by BlackRock.
 
Prior to joining BlackRock in 2015, Mr Armstrong was heading the real estate team for State Street Singapore, servicing regional and global investment managers.  Other roles held include hedge fund administration in the Cayman Islands, and audit positions in the Cayman Islands, Australia and the UK with PwC and MooreStephens.
 
Mr. Armstrong earned a BA (Hons) degree in Psychology from the University of Sheffield, Chartered Accountant qualification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales (ICAEW) and a Chartered Financial Analyst qualification (CFA) from the CFA Institute.
 
  Andrew Moore

Andrew Moore was a founding partner of Pamfleet and is the Chief Executive Officer. Headquartered in Hong Kong, with offices in Singapore and Shanghai, Pamfleet seeks to create value through re-positioning under-performing real estate. The company operates across different asset classes, including office, retail and accommodation. Notable track record deals include Vicwood Plaza, Kowloon City Plaza, Nexxus Building and KOHO, an industrial-to-office conversion. Current projects include workers' accommodation, multi-family residential re-positioning and hotel.
Andrew began his career in London in 1987, moving to Hong Kong with Jones Lang Wootton in 1993. He joined Jardine Fleming as a portfolio manager in 1995 and co-founded Pamfleet in 2000. He graduated from Portsmouth University in 1987 and obtained a Masters, with distinction, in International Real Estate in 2005. He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors.
