Over 50 members joined us for an update on the ANREV Business Plan for 2020 online on 22 September. 

ANREV COVID-19 Sentiment Survey 2020 (Open to members and non-members)

Our Director of Research and Professional Standards Amélie Delaunay presented the results of the survey and joined by a panel of ANREV Management Board including Willem de Geus of Proprium Capital Partners, Nicholas Loup of Chelsfield and Graeme Torre of APG Asset Management shared their views on investment and market trends under this unprecedented situation.

Amélie Delaunay
Director of Research & Professional Standards
ANREV

Amélie Delaunay is the Director of Research and Professional Standards for ANREV. She is responsible for the development and implementation of ANREV’s Research, Performance Measurement and Professional Standards programmes in Asia Pacific, including market information and performance indices, global surveys and promotion of best practices for the industry.

Amélie has more than 18 years of experience in the real estate industry and a strong real estate consulting background initially with Ernst & Young. She has been based in Asia for more than 14 years.

Educated at the Sorbonne in Paris, where she was awarded a post graduate degree in Urban Geography, Town Planning and Real Estate, Amélie also has an Advanced Master's Degree in Urban and Real Estate Management from ESSEC Business School in Paris. Amélie is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
 

Nicholas Loup
Group Vice Chairman, CEO
Chelsfield Asia

Nicholas Loup is Chief Executive Officer of Chelsfield Asia and Group Vice Chairman. Chelsfield is a leading real estate development group focused on the principal cities of Europe, Asia and the U.S. Since 1986 the business has constantly evolved to encompass and develop emerging market practices.

Nick is a General Committee member of the British Chamber of Commerce and a director of the Spinal Cord Injury Fund. He is also Board member of the Asian Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles Limited (ANREV), of which he is a founder member; Vice Chairman of the Council of China's Foreign Trade.  In 2014 he became President of the MIPIM Asia Awards Jury.

Nick was Chief Executive of Grosvenor Asia Pacific with offices in Hong Kong, and a member of the Group Executive Committee and Group Board. He established operations in Asia Pacific in 1994 in Hong Kong; the company now has further offices in Tokyo and Shanghai. Previously, Nick has been a director of Asia Standard International and a non-executive director at Bridge Capital Delhi and PCD a department store business in China. He has also been a member of the World Economic Forum's Fiscal Sustainability Global Agenda Council (GAC) and on the Asia Acquisition Committee of the Tate. Prior to arriving in Asia, Nick was a director of Trafalgar House Developments, with responsibility for developments in London's West End. 

Willem de Geus
Co-Founder & Partner
Proprium Capital Partners

Willem de Geus is a Co-Founder and Partner of Proprium Capital Partners, L.P. Previously, Willem worked at Morgan Stanley for 16 years in various roles latterly as Managing Director and Global and Asian Portfolio Manager of Morgan Stanley’s Real Estate Special Situations Funds, based out of Singapore. Before joining Morgan Stanley, he worked in the international real estate department of the Dutch Metalworkers Pension fund (MN Services) from August 1993. 

He graduated from the Radboud University of Nijmegen in 1991 with a Drs. in City Planning with a specialization in Real Estate. He also received a MSc. in Real Estate and Finance from Pennsylvania State University in 1993. He became a Certified European Financial Analyst (CEFA) in 1999. 

Willem is currently Chairman of the Management Board of ANREV. He was a founding and Executive Board Member of INREV (the European Association for Investors in Non Listed Real Estate Vehicles). He was awarded an honorary membership to INREV in December 2010 for this work. He was also a founding member of European Public Real Estate Association (EPRA) and Co-Chairman of the Index Committee. 
 

Graeme Torre
Managing Director & Head of Real Estate
APG Asset Management Asia

Graeme Torre is Managing Director and Head of Real Estate, APG Asset Management Asia. Based in the Hong Kong office he is responsible for the private and public market real estate portfolios in Asia Pacific. Prior to joining APG in 2017, Graeme was Managing Director, Asia Pacific for Invesco Real Estate (formerly AIG Global Real Estate) and prior to that Head of Asia Property for Henderson Global Investors. Graeme has covered the Asia Pacific markets for over 20 years investing across the risk spectrum in both public and private sectors. He is a member of APG‘s real estate Global Management Team and Global Investment Committee, a board member of ANREV and a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He holds a Masters in Finance from University College Dublin.
