SUSTAINABILITY BRIEFING BY PATRICK KANTERS: LAUNCH OF GRESB 2012 SURVEY RESULTS  

At this lunch Mr. Patrick Kanters from APG Asset Management presented the results of the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) 2012 Survey, a global benchmark that measures and evaluates sustainability performance of property companies and fund managers.

Patrick is Managing Director Global Real Estate of APG, based in Amsterdam. He is also Chairman of INREV, our European counterpart. Following Patrick's presentation,
 Mr. Craig Roussac from Investa Property Group shared Investa's sustainability approach. Craig has held group-wide responsibility for the sustainability, safety and environmental management platforms at Investa since 2004. He also directs the Investa Sustainability Institute’s action research for sustainability in the built environment through collaborations with leading universities and research institutions.

GRESB is an industry-led organization committed to rigorous and independent evaluation of the sustainability performance of real estate portfolios. GRESB works in tandem with institutional investors and their portfolio managers to identify and implement sustainability best practices in order to enhance and protect shareholder value.
