Charles Haase
Chief Executive

Charles Haase became Chief Executive of ANREV in 2022. Before joining ANREV, Haase was responsible for global client relationship management with Aetos Japan, LLC. Prior to that he was with Tokyu Fudosan Holdings Corporation in Tokyo, working on overseas investments for Tokyu Land Corporation and on inbound investment for Tokyu Livable, Inc. Before coming to Tokyo, Haase was a real estate investment officer with the California State Teachers' Retirement System, and served on the economics faculty at San Francisco State University. Haase has a Ph.D. in economics from University of California at Davis.

Nasir Alamgir
Managing Director, Head of U.S. and European Real Estate Debt

Nasir Alamgir is a member of Barings Real Estate, a global real estate platform with extensive capabilities across both debt and equity strategies. Nasir is a Managing Director and Head of U.S. & European Real Estate Debt, leading the development of the U.S. and European real estate debt business across investment vehicles, asset classes and geographies. Prior to this position, Nasir served as Head of U.S. Real Estate Debt Portfolio Management, responsible for the oversight of the real estate debt portfolios and the development of new funds and accounts. Prior to that role, Nasir was the Head of Real Estate Capital Markets at Barings and was responsible for all debt placement and syndications, including fund-level and asset-level leverage. Nasir is a member of the global Real Estate Debt Investment Committee and the Global Debt Valuations Committee. Prior to joining the firm in 2016, Nasir was a Senior Vice President and Head of Capital Markets, Americas at Starwood Capital Group where he was responsible for securing asset and fund level debt as well as covering interest rate and FX derivatives and hedging. Prior to Starwood, he held numerous leadership roles in originations, asset management, syndications, and securitization at Commerzbank/Eurohypo and Bank of America. Nasir has worked in the industry since 1997. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the Johns Hopkins University.

Rupert Gill
Head of Portfolio Management, European Real Estate Debt
Barings

Rupert Gill is Head of Portfolio Management in the European Real Estate Debt Portfolio Management team, responsible for the management of the group, providing oversight of strategy development and the execution of investment solutions. Rupert also sits on the European Real Estate Debt Investment and Valuation Committees and leads the European Real Estate Debt Portfolio Management team that covers Private Debt Real Estate mandates encompassing both co-mingled funds and SMAs in Europe. Rupert joined the team in 2024 from BlackRock where he was Head of European Real Estate Debt for nearly seven years, having been hired by BlackRock to build its European team and raise its first commingled European Real Estate Debt Fund. He has also held senior positions at LNR Partners Europe / Hatfield Philips International, Lloyds Bank and ABN Amro Bank.

James King
Senior Director, Real Estate Australia
Barings

James King serves as Senior Director, Portfolio Management for Barings Real Estate Australia.

James has over 17 years of experience in real estate investment, financing, and funds management, capital transactions, capital raising, product development, and impact investing. He is responsible for the key functions of portfolio and investment management, portfolio construction, debt procurement, structuring, strategy, and product development across the platform. James is also a member of the Allocation Committee alongside Paul Notaras and Alastair Wright.

Prior to joining the firm, James was the Head of Investor Relations at Qualitas and the national transaction lead at Leighton Properties for residential and mixed-use investments.

James holds a Bachelor of Business in Property Economics from the University of Western Sydney
