ANREV Investment Intentions Survey 2025 - Melbourne Launch Event
ANREV is pleased to invite you to a briefing in Melbourne for the launch of our Investment Intentions Survey 2025.
The 2025 ANREV / INREV / PREA Investment Intentions survey covers allocations and investment intentions of major institutional investors and funds of funds managers. Charles Haase, ANREV's Chief Executive will share with us the key highlights of the survey. The event will kick off with a macro-update, followed by the presentation of survey results and a panel discussion.
The events will conclude with networking drinks.

Speakers
Charles Haase is Chief Executive of ANREV, the Asian Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles. ANREV is a member driven non-profit organization producing research and indices relevant to the private real estate industry in Asia Pacific, and promoting improved transparency and best practices across the region.
Prior to joining ANREV, Charlie had experience on both sides of the investment table, working for Aetos Japan and Tokyu Fudosan Holdings Corporation in Tokyo, and for the California State Teachers’ Retirement System in the United States. Prior to joining CalSTRS, Charlie was on the Economics faculty of San Francisco State University. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Davis.
Nadeem Hussain is Senior Portfolio Manager - Mid Risk Portfolio Strategy and Research, within the AustralianSuper Investment team, a role he commenced in 2023. Prior to this, he was Senior Portfolio Manager for AustralianSuper’s global property portfolio, responsible for designing the property strategy and its ongoing portfolio management. His role in the team spanned the strategic development and implementation of both the direct and unlisted strategies of the fund’s property investments, and continuing portfolio management initiatives to cater for the changing nature and size of the property portfolio.
Prior to joining AustralianSuper in 2013, Nadeem spent nine years at BlackRock Investment Management within their property team. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a Master in Accounting, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia.
Sean has over 30 years of property, construction, finance and investment banking experience in the real estate sector and across listed, wholesale and direct capital markets. He is responsible for the Group’s strategy and balance sheet investments, mergers and acquisitions, with oversight for multi-sector property transactions and corporate development. Sean is also responsible for the diversified sector and related development activities, whilst overseeing the wholesale investor relations, legal and cosec teams.
Sean brings a wealth of experience across investment markets and diversified sectors, driving the development of corporate and fund strategies, capital allocation and reinvestment programs.
Prior to joining Charter Hall, Sean worked at diversified property group Australand (now known as Frasers) as the Chief Investment Officer and was responsible for the Group’s investment in office, industrial, residential, and retail property developments. Before this, Sean was a senior executive in the Property Investment Banking division at Macquarie Bank.
Across his career, Sean has played key roles in over $100bn of transactional activity across domestic and international markets and has had extensive experience in the Residential Living sector across a diverse range of market segments, culminating in over $20 billon of residential investment and development activity.
11 years industry experience / 6 years at Charter Hall Group
Sasanka has been our Head of Research for the past five years. He is responsible for the group’s research requirements across transactions, investor relations, reporting and product development.
Prior to joining Charter Hall, he was the head of Industrial research at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL). During his tenure at JLL, he provided advice to external clients as well as the JLL national investment and management teams. In addition, he undertook consultancy-based projects and has released extensive research publications. He also was an active contribute in JLL’s research subscription and though leadership service. Sasanka has previously worked in development where he participated in major projects for several major institutions and private equity funds. He also previously worked with Colliers International and the WINIM group.
Sasanka holds a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University and a Master of Property Development from the University of Technology Sydney. He is also an invited lecturer at the University of New South Wales and University of Technology Sydney.
Toby McMillan is a Director in the Unlisted Property team at the Future Fund. He has been with the Fund since May 2023.
Toby has previously held positions at Victorian Funds Management Corporation (VFMC) and Jones Lang LaSalle.
Toby holds a Bachelor of Business (Property) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and a Master of Applied Finance and Investment From Kaplan University, as well as being a member of both the Australian Property Institute (API) and Financial Services Institute of Australia (FINSIA).
Callum is Head of Asia-Pacific REITs, rejoining Macquarie in 2024. He was previously at ASX listed A-REIT GPT Group over 2014-2024 with his most recent role Head of Strategy and Wholesale Capital. Callum worked at Macquarie previously in 2004-2014 and was the Head of Asia REIT Research based in Hong Kong in 2010-2013 and Head of Australia REIT Research in 2007-2010 based in Sydney. Prior to REIT research Callum has covered the transport, consumer & infrastructure sectors at Macquarie. Callum holds a Master's Degree in Commerce from University of New South Wales, a Master’s of Business Administration from University of Technology Sydney and a Bachelor of Science from the Australian National University.
