 This hybrid event "Demystifying Shari’a-Compliant Real Estate Funds" was successfully held in Singapore on Tuesday, 26th November, 2024. This event provided an overview of the legal and operational considerations for real estate fund managers when seeking to establish Shari’a-compliant investment funds. The discussion provided an overview of the principles underpinning Shari’a-compliant investing and will unpack key legal requirements and features commonly seen with Shari’a funds, including Islamic-based investment restrictions, involvement of Shari’a boards and audit mechanisms, disclosure obligations and a typical credit fund structure.

This was a hybrid lunch event, hosted at the Singapore office of White & Case with webinar access available to attendees participating virtually.
