ANREV Breakfast Briefing - Navigating Global Debt Space
Global real estate investment manager Savills Investment Management invites you to an exclusive ANREV breakfast briefing on debt investments as global institutional capital continues to seek increased exposure in this asset class, recognizing its strong structural tailwinds.
The event will be headlined by a presentation on the debt sector, focusing on how to navigate global debt spaces and thereafter, a panel will expand on work-out and restructuring in real estate investments, both from the Lender and Borrower perspective. Also, Charles Haase, ANREV’s Chief Executive will share with us the key highlights of the 2024 ANREV/INREV/PREA Investment Intentions survey. The survey covers allocations and investment intentions of major institutional investors and funds of funds managers.

Charles Haase became Chief Executive of ANREV in 2022. Before joining ANREV, Haase was responsible for global client relationship management with Aetos Japan, LLC. Prior to that he was with Tokyu Fudosan Holdings Corporation in Tokyo, working on overseas investments for Tokyu Land Corporation and on inbound investment for Tokyu Livable, Inc. Before coming to Tokyo, Haase was a real estate investment officer with the California State Teachers' Retirement System, and served on the economics faculty at San Francisco State University. Haase has a Ph.D. in economics from University of California at Davis.
Prior to joining DRC SIM, Mr. Willingham was Global Head of Real Estate Finance at HSBC, based in Hong Kong, with responsibility for the Bank’s global portfolio of secured real estate financing to international clients. Mr. Willingham has 35 years sector experience across Real Estate Senior Debt, Capital Markets, Private Equity and Asset Recovery across UK, Europe and Asia Pacific.
At HSBC, he managed geographically diverse origination and portfolio management teams across London, Paris, Germany, Dubai, New York, Mexico City, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan & Australia with loans under management in excess of US$30bn.
Prior to HSBC, Mr. Willingham was Fund Manager of Blackrock’s European Opportunity Real Estate investments and a member of the Global Real Estate Debt Investment Committee following Blackrock’s acquisition of MGPA, where he was Chief Financial Officer (Europe) responsible for Fund Reporting & Accounting,
Capital Markets and Banking Relationships. Earlier experience includes leading the CMBS origination group in London for Merrill Lynch and establishing and leading Nationwide Building Society’s structured property finance team from 1998 to 2003.
Gabriella is senior director at Savills Investment Management, based in Singapore. She is responsible for capital raising and business development activities for Savills IM’s various investment strategies and fund products. Gabriella joined Savills IM in 2021 from USAA Real Estate Company, where she raised capital for the firm’s real estate equity and debt strategies. Gabriella has 13 years of experience in the real estate industry.
