ANREV Investment Intentions Survey 2024 - Melbourne Launch Event
The 2024 ANREV/INREV/PREA Investment Intentions survey covered allocations and investment intentions of major institutional investors and funds of funds managers. Ms. Amélie Delaunay, ANREV's Senior Director of Research & Professional Standards, shared with us the key highlights of the survey. The event kicked off with a macroeconomic update, followed by the presentation of survey results and a panel discussion, concluding with networking drinks.

Speakers
Amélie Delaunay is the Senior Director of Research and Professional Standards for ANREV, the Asian association for investors in non-listed real estate vehicles where she leads a team of five, responsible for the development and implementation of ANREV’s Research, Market information and Professional Standards programmes in Asia Pacific, including ANREV indices, global surveys and promotion of best practices for the industry.
Amélie has more than 19 years of experience in the real estate industry and a strong real estate consulting background initially with Ernst & Young. She has been based in Asia for more than 16 years.
Educated at the Sorbonne in Paris, where she was awarded a post graduate degree in Urban Geography, Town Planning and Real Estate, Amélie also has an Advanced Master's Degree in Urban and Real Estate Management from ESSEC Business School in Paris. Amélie is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Graeme Torre is Managing Director and Head of Real Estate, APG Asset Management Asia. Based in the Hong Kong office he is responsible for the private and public market real estate portfolios in Asia Pacific. Prior to joining APG in 2017, Graeme was Managing Director, Asia Pacific for Invesco Real Estate (formerly AIG Global Real Estate) and prior to that Head of Asia Property for Henderson Global Investors. Graeme has covered the Asia Pacific markets for over 20 years investing across the risk spectrum in both public and private sectors. He is a member of APG’s Global Real Estate Management Team, Global Real Estate Investment Committee as well as being a member of the APG Asset Management Committee for Investment Proposals. A member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, he holds a Masters in Finance from University College Dublin.
Rob Hamilton is the Head of the Institutional Distribution, Australia and New Zealand, for Dexus. Specialising in real assets, Rob works across unlisted real estate and unlisted infrastructure for Dexus and has overall responsibility for client and consultant relations in the region.
Prior to Dexus, Rob worked for AMP Capital in Melbourne and Barclays Capital in London. Rob commenced his career as a lawyer, having completed a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne. Rob has also completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment at Kaplan.
Toby McMillan is a Director in the Unlisted Property team at the Future Fund. He has been with the Fund since May 2023.
Toby has previously held positions at Victorian Funds Management Corporation (VFMC) and Jones Lang LaSalle.
Toby holds a Bachelor of Business (Property) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and a Master of Applied Finance and Investment From Kaplan University, as well as being a member of both the Australian Property Institute (API) and Financial Services Institute of Australia (FINSIA).
David is the Head of Real Estate Strategy for Macquarie Asset Management (MAM), producing property research across major global markets and sectors for external and internal clients, including Macquarie Group’s Board.
Previously, he was a member of UBS Asset Management’s Real Estate Team, where he was the Head of Real Estate Research for Asia Pacific, responsible for formulating market views and strategies for the Direct Real Estate and Multi-Manager businesses. Prior to that, David was the UK Head of Research at Grosvenor and worked as an Economist at the Australian Treasury.
David holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from the University of Queensland, a Master of Economics/Econometrics from the Australian National University, and an IPF Diploma in Property Investment.
With over 15 years’ experience in the property industry, Georgina Bishop has worked across a variety of areas including Investment and Asset Management, Development and Asset Stabilisation, Transactions, Joint Venture Management, Valuations, Mandate and Funds Management. Georgina has recently expanded her focus into Portfolio Management, taking on the role of Senior Portfolio Manager at VFMC.
