Speaker
Charles Haase is Chief Executive of ANREV, the Asian Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles. ANREV is a member driven non-profit organisation producing research and indices relevant to the private real estate industry in Asia Pacific, and promoting improved transparency and best practices across the region.
Prior to joining ANREV, Charlie had experience on both sides of the investment table, working for Aetos Japan and Tokyu Fudosan Holdings Corporation in Tokyo, and for the California State Teachers’ Retirement System in the United States. Prior to joining CalSTRS, Charlie was on the Economics faculty of San Francisco State University. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Davis.
Guy Fulton is a seasoned institutional real estate investor with over 20 years of experience committing equity into the Asia region, with an emphasis on Greater China. During his career he has lead investments of close to US$10billion across the region and grown portfolios across all the major sectors including industrial, residential, retail, and office. During his most recent position at CPP Investments he sat on the Global Real Estate Investment Committee, Portfolio Strategy Committee and was a member of the Asia and Global Leadership Teams.
Prior to working at CPP, Guy spent five years at Citi Property Investors where we worked in both acquisitions and Investor Relations, as well as two years at Citibank as a corporate finance associate based in Moscow. He also spent six years at Savills plc, ultimately leading the office in Shanghai, offering the full suite of real estate services to both multinationals and local developers. He holds an MBA in Finance from New York University and an MA in Chinese from Oxford University and is a fluent Mandarin speaker. He is also a current ANREV Management Board Director.
Collin Lau is the founder of BEI Group, which is an Asian-based global real estate and alternative investment and operating company. BEI has set up two operating platforms, in creative stay-work-play, and healthcare. BEI has created BEI Community, a revolutionary concept of urban mixed use in both Beijing and San Francisco. BEI is a founding shareholder and investor of Virtus Medical Group (www.virtusmedical.com).
Collin was previously a managing director, head of global real estate and head of European private equity at China Investment Corporation. Collin had over 32 years of corporate, financial and investment management experience. Before CIC, he had been a managing director at Starr International, where he was responsible for its private equity and real estate investments in Asia Pacific. Before Starr, Collin was a managing director at Baring Private Equity Asia. Prior to that, he held a number of managing positions in several leading conglomerates in Hong Kong.
Collin holds a Master of Laws degree with distinction in Corporate and Financial Law from the University of Hong Kong. He was voted as the Asia Industry Figure of the Year 2010 by PERE, one of the top 50 industry figures by Estate Gazette UK in 2010 and ranked 25th of the top 100 most influential global industry figures by PERE for the last decade (2005-2015) in 2015.
Hans has 20 years experience in real estate and Private Equity Real Estate (PERE) fund management. Before CBC, Hans was CIO of InfraRed NF Investment Advisors, a Greater China focused real estate investment management platform, overseeing investments and portfolio management. Before that, Hans was Director at Angelo Gordon focusing on business origination in China and Singapore. Before Angelo Gordon, Hans performed various investment focused roles for Jones Lang LaSalle. Hans holds a Bachelor’s Degree with honor in Marketing from Fudan University and a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Investment & Finance from the University of Hong Kong.
Dr. Henry Chin leads CBRE’s investor thought leadership across all regions and oversees all research activity in Asia Pacific. After joining CBRE in 2014, Henry was promoted to CBRE’s Asia Pacific Strategic Group, the board which oversees CBRE’s strategic direction in the region, in 2016. From 2019-2020 he also served as Head of Research, EMEA.
Before joining CBRE, Henry was head of Asia Pacific research and strategy at PGIM (previously known as Pramerica Real Estate Investors), Prudential Financials Inc., where he was responsible for leading the company’s Asia Pacific real estate investment strategy. Henry also spent several years with Deutsche Bank Group, where he had numerous roles ranging from global real estate strategist based in London to co-head of real estate for Asia Pacific for their private banking business. Henry began his career as lead Asian real estate analyst for DTZ.
Henry is a visiting professor at Oxford Brookes University (UK) and an assistant professor at National Taipei University (Taiwan). He is also a member of the Society of Property Researchers (SPR), Investment Property Forum (IPF), Urban Land Institute (ULI), Asian Public Real Estate Association (APREA), Asia Non-listed Real Estate Vehicles (ANREV), International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC), SFC Hong Kong, HKSI and UKSIP. He was served as a chairman of ANREV’s research committee from 2011 to 2014. He holds an Investment Management Certificate (IMC) in the UK.
Henry has 20 years research experience in the Asia Pacific and Global real estate markets. He holds a BA in Land Economic and Administration from National Taipei University (Taiwan); an MSc in Real Estate from the University of Reading (UK) and a PhD in Real Estate Investment from Oxford Brookes University (UK).
Mr Henry Cheng is CEO, Executive Director and Cofounder of the Chongbang Group, which focuses on the investment, development and management of retail-anchored mixed-use projects in Shanghai and major cities in the Yangtze River Delta. Its highly focused business strategy, holistic approach to property development and proven ability to compete on innovation and differentiation are well recognized by the industry and the investment community.
Since its inception, Chongbang has embarked on nine retail-anchored mixed-use projects, branded “Life Hubs”, meaning centres of living. As of todate, eight of the nine projects have been completed, namely the 250,000 square meter Life Hub @ Daning, the 180,000 square meter Life Hub @ Jinqiao, the 80,000 square meter Sinan Mansions, the 190,000 square meter Life Hub @ Anting Phase 1, the 80,000 square meter Life Hub @ Upbund, the 190,000 square meter Life Hub @ Anting Phase 2, all in Shanghai, as well as the 800,000 square meter Life Hub @ Kunshan (Suzhou), and the 400,000 square meter Life Hub @ Hangzhou. Under construction is the 300,000 square meter Life Hub @ Bund Central, located on Sichuan North Road, one of Shanghai’s three major traditional commercial precincts.
Alex Sun is Executive Director of Investment Banking Department at CICC, where he oversees the bank's cross-border real estate and structured product business. As a REIT specialist and senior member in CICC REITs team, Alex is leading the development and execution of several key regime-setting REITs and Pre-REIT pilot projects across China, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Prior to joining CICC, Mr. Sun was Director of Ascendas Asia Fund Management at CapitaLand where he was involved in evaluating real estate investments in Asia markets. Before joining CapitaLand, Alex was Vice President at Vanke Hong Kong, where he led the acquisition and asset management functions for the international business. Alex received both Master of Real Estate and Master of Architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He serves as adjunct assistant professor at SUTD and visiting lecturer at INSEAD and NUS Business School. He is a chartered CFA and certified FRM.
Stephen Qiu graduated from the University of Cambridge and majored in Real Estate Finance. Joining Cushman&Wakefield in 2007, he has nearly 17 years of experience in Capital Markets, specialising in strategic advisory and real estate consulting services in the mainland China market. With impressive track records in major cities across mainland China, he has completed several signature and iconic transactions such as Project Bay, Zhangjiang 368, Beijing Tongzhou R&F Center, Shanghai Brics Tower and DLJ Logistic Portfolio. He served a wide variety of clients including domestic and foreign real estate funds, developers, sovereign wealth funds and pension funds.
Ms. Chang Rui Hua has been appointed as Managing Director, Business Management and Investment, ESR Hong Kong since April 2023. She focuses on looking after our business in Hong Kong region, including our fund management arm and lead our China REIT initiatives and execution. Ms. Chang will also hold the concurrent role of Executive Director and Responsible Officer for ESR HK Asset Management Limited (the fund management arm for Hong Kong).
Ms. Chang was previously Group Head, Capital Markets and Investor Relations for the Group, managing capital and public market activities including strategic merger and acquisition investments at ESR group level; leads the Group’s investor relations function and provides insights on market developments.
Before joining ESR, Ms. Chang was with the CapitaLand Group for six years, where she was leading the Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, Corporate Planning and fund raising in China; as well as the CapitaLand Group’s Investor Relations and Capital Markets Compliance based in Singapore. She was also a key member of the team that led the privatisation of CapitaMall Asia in 2014. Prior to that, Ms. Chang was an investment banker with China International Capital Corporation and DBS Bank Ltd from 2006 to 2013.
Ms. Chang holds a Masters’ in International Public Policy (Merit) from University College London, Department of Politics and a BSc in Social Science, Economics (2nd Upper Class Honors) from the National University of Singapore. She completed the Advanced Management Programme at Booth School of Business, University of Chicago. She is also a holder of the International Certificate of Investor Relations (ICIR) and Chartered Manager Fellow.
Mr. Hank Hsu is the chief executive officer of Forest Logistics Properties, which he co-founded in 2018 with Baring Private Equity Asia (now EQT Exeter). Formerly the Head of China Investments at Ascendas-Singbridge, Hank has close to 20 years of experience in real estate investment and fund management. Prior to Ascendas-Singbridge, he served as Investment Director at China Orient Summit Capital (China) and Portman Group (US). He has completed and managed investment transactions totaling nearly USD 6.5 billion in logistics, industrial and mixed-use properties in China and the US.
He holds an MBA degree from University of California, Berkeley, and a MDes (Real Estate) from Harvard University.

Rosealea is a senior analyst in the Beijing office and has been with the firm since 2007. She is a specialist on the Chinese property market, and also works on energy, infrastructure and other issues related to the investment side of the economy. Before joining Gavekal, she worked at the Chinese Institute of CPAs in Beijing. Rosealea studied economics at the University of Manchester, where she earned an MSc degree with distinction, and graduated from Renmin University in 1999.
Charles Ma is Country Managing Director of Greystar’s Asia Pacific platform and heads the business in Greater China. His key responsibilities includes leading the platform’s investment and capitalisation strategy, pursuing and executing on project opportunities, identifying and collaborating with various strategic partners and building / developing capabilities and teams. Charles is also part of Greystar’s Asia executive team and will assist in building out the Asia Pacific platform including other key markets such as Japan and Australia.
Prior to Greystar, Charles was Head of Strategy and M&A for China Vanke where he was responsible for leading the company’s current and future core strategies, determining, identifying and executing on investment opportunities in domestic and international markets, and helping Vanke acquire new businesses and strategic capabilities. He was also a management consultant in the Boston Consulting Group specializing in strategic investments, market entry and new products / services strategies across both real estate and consumer goods industries.
Charles has an MBA degree from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and an BS degree from the University of California Berkeley.
Chiang Ling Ng serves as Chief Investment Officer, Asia, and is responsible for investment and fund strategies for Hines in the Asia region. She provides additional coverage for Asian investors to access global opportunities and plays a key role in steering Hines’ global investment strategy as a member of the firm’s Executive and Investment Committees.
Based in Singapore, Chiang Ling brings more than 25 years of investment management experience in the Asian real estate private equity industry, having previously held leadership roles at M&G Real Estate Asia and the real estate private equity division of Goldman Sachs.
Chiang Ling is the current chairperson for the Asian Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles (ANREV) and served as the association’s deputy chairperson from 2022-2023.
Chiang Ling is a graduate of Princeton University and holds a BSE in Electrical Engineering. She is fluent in English, Mandarin and Japanese.
Eric Huang is Principal of Hodes Weill & Associates in the Hong Kong office, responsible for coverage of institutional investors in Greater China as well as project management of client mandates in the Asia Pacific region.
Previously, Mr. Huang was a Vice President at LaSalle Investment Management where he has worked extensively in different disciplines of real estate investment management including portfolio management, investor relations and product management. Prior to LaSalle Investment Management, Mr. Huang was a manager in PricewaterhouseCoopers, providing assurance and M&A transaction services across a wide range of industries.
Mr. Huang holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) designation, and he is also a Certified Public Accountant (“CPA”) in Hong Kong and mainland China, respectively. Mr. Huang received a BBA in Professional Accountancy from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Mr. Huang serves as the chair in ANREV’s Young Professionals Working Group and is a member of ULI’s Young Leaders Committee.
With over 40 years of real estate experience, Mr. Cheng’s work experience has covered a comprehensive range of activities, including ground-up real estate development, real estate investment, fund management, business consulting, commercial banking operations, liquidity, and interest rate risk management. As one of the key founding members of KaiLong in 2004, Mr. Cheng has built and led the team to become a leading player in the Asian Pacific, Greater China, and London's vibrant investment and asset management market. To date, KaiLong has invested a total of over US$4.1 billion in 57 real estate projects. Of these, 32 have already been exited with excellent risk-adjusted returns.
Before joining KaiLong, Mr. Cheng was the General Manager of Shui On Land. He oversaw the development and operations of Rainbow City, City Apartment, and Hangzhou Xi Hu Tiandi, as well as participating in the construction and operations management of Shanghai Xintiandi. Prior to that, Mr. Cheng held various senior positions with Standard Chartered Bank, including Greater China Head of Finance and Risk and Senior Manager of Marketing and Operations.
In 2011, Mr Cheng founded KFoundation together with generous support from KaiLong employees and friends, uniting the KaiLong community under our shared mission to give back to society. Since its inception, KFoundation has raised over RMB 20 million during these years. It has sponsored a total of over 4,200 students varying from secondary school to university as well as other charity projects related to helping underprivileged or sick children.
Jacy joined KPMG Shanghai in 2001 and is now an audit partner of KPMG China.
Jacy has been the National Head of Real Estate and Building Construction of KPMG China since October 2019 and is leading a dedicated real estate team in mainland China and Hong Kong to provide “One-Stop Shop” services to clients on the entire life-cycle of real estate’s financing, restructuring, development, operation and exit.

Ms Chan has progressed with Link REIT to expand from Hong Kong and Greater China to APAC since 2013. Prior to Link REIT, Ms Chan holds a B.Sc. degree from the University of Hong Kong and a M.Sc. degree in Global Finance jointly conferred by the New York University (Stern) and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She is a member of HKIS and RICS. She is also Advisory Board member to both RICS and APREA in Hong Kong.

Disheng Lin is a Managing Director on PJT Park Hill’s real estate team and is based in Hong Kong.
Prior to joining PJT Park Hill, Mr. Lin was a Portfolio Manager at China Life Insurance (Overseas), where he led outbound real assets investments for the firm. Before that, Mr. Lin worked at Townsend Group’s special situations group in the U.S. and Hong Kong, where he focused on global real estate co-investments. Mr. Lin started his career at Swire Properties.
Mr. Lin received a Master in Real Estate from School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University and a Bachelor of Engineering at Tongji University.
Mr. Wayne HUANG is one of the most senior experts and professionals in the field of logistic real estate in China, with more than 20 years of rich experience in the development, investment, and management of modern logistics facilities, invested and managed over 3b USD logistic assets, as well as led the plan & design and development of clean workshops, R&D centers, and Internet data centers etc. Wayne has rich experience in the investment and development of industrial assets.
Mr. Wayne HUANG was previously the General Manager of Goodman China and the Senior Manager of Intel China. With extensive experience in corporate and project management.
Wayne is currently the CEO of Principal Real Asset Investments Private Fund Management (Beijing) Co., Ltd, investing logistics real estate in China.
Mr. Wayne HUANG holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from CEIBS (EMBA).
Mr. Zhu Yuanwei currently serves as the President of the REITs Institute, a leading think-tank in real estate finance in China, maintaining close cooperation with regulators and key market participants in the REITs sector.
Mr. Zhu has studied at the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University, the Department of Real Estate at the School of Business at the National University of Singapore, and the Wudaokou School of Finance at Tsinghua University. His research focuses on alternative investment, especially in real estate and infrastructure. He has led policy research projects for the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and the China Securities Regulatory Commission. He also worked as an evaluation expert for the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Transport, and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development, etc.
With over 15 years of experience, he has engaged in real estate investment and worked for leading institutional investors such as the China Development Bank, China Taiping Insurance Group, and the China Everbright Group, focusing on real estate and infrastructure investment and finance.
