Umesh is Senior Portfolio Manager for Pro-invest Asset Management, assisting with the acquisitions and investment management for the Group’s growing hotel Funds Management platform. Umesh has over 13 years’ experience in Hospitality, Financial Services and Consulting businesses across Australia, New York and India. Prior to joining Pro-invest, Umesh worked for Elanor Investors Group, an ASX listed funds management business with about $1 Billion of investments in Hotels, Tourism & Leisure (HTL), office and retail space. At Elanor, Umesh was working with the CIO and Head of HTL Portfolio on improving financial and operational performances of HTL portfolio, managing accounts and finance and assisting in new acquisitions. Umesh previously worked with the Indian arm of NYSE listed Alexandria REIT and was involved in acquisitions, development and investment management. Umesh has also worked with The DE Shaw Group, a USD 40 Billion hedge fund, (involved in reporting and analysis, budgeting, firm-wide CXO projects) and Deloitte’s International taxation team. Umesh is a member of CPA Australia, CA India; has completed CPA USA, Bachelor of Commerce, Diploma in Business Management and Certification in Business Valuation.
Benjamin is a Senior Associate in Baker McKenzie's Commercial Real Estate Group in Melbourne and vice-chair of the ANREV Young Professionals Working Group. He has 10 years' experience advising on structured property transactions, joint ventures and the acquisition, financing, lease and sale of commercial property with a focus on capital markets. He acts for major listed and unlisted property funds, institutional landlords and major corporate tenants.
Benjamin has previously worked at Baker McKenzie's Sydney and London offices and at London based FTSE100 listed private equity firm, Intermediate Capital Group plc in their sale and leaseback strategy. Benjamin sat on the New South Wales Law Society's Property Law Committee from 2015 to 2019 and was previously chair of the NSW Young Lawyer's Property Law Committee. He regularly writes on property law related issues for a number of publications including the Australian Property Law Bulletin and Law Society Journal.
Brian is Senior Transaction Manager, responsible for identifying and researching prospective purchase deals, assisting with negotiating the purchase terms and contract, and implementing and finalizing the purchase that will contribute commercially to Pro-invest Group’s growth and success. Brian is also responsible for investment due diligence and analysis and will support the acquisitions team in developing the Group’s investment and development programs. Brian joined Pro-invest as Senior Analyst in 2019 assisting the company’s investment management function, working on origination, acquisition and delivery of hospitality and commercial real estate projects in Australia and NZ. From 2015 to 2019, Brian was an Investment Manager with Tetrarch Capital, an Irish based Private Equity Real Estate investor and developer who are particularly active in the hospitality and office sectors. While at Tetrarch, Brian was responsible for investment underwriting, financial modelling and investor reporting for all new and existing transactions. Brian is a CFA Charterholder and holds a Master’s in Financial Economics and a Bachelor in Economics, both from University College Cork, Ireland.
