Greenwashing - what's happening in APAC
This webinar session is successfully held on 24 November 2022. At this session, Mr. John Moutsopoulos of KPMG Australia and Ms Justine Saccarello of KPMG UK gave an overview of greenwashing in ESG investing in Asia Pacific, looked at from the perspective of an ANREV member.

Speakers
John is a Funds and financial services regulatory expert in the Sydney Office of KPMG Law Australia with over 20 years of funds and investment transaction experience across all asset classes including, real estate ,infrastructure and agri. John also leads ESG for KPMG Law working with KPMGs responsible investment SMEs to deliver integrated solutions for asset owners and managers.
John’s specific areas of expertise include fund and investment structuring (including pooled investment trusts, JVs, capital partnerships and clubs (for inbound and outbound investment) and cross border capital raisings and financial services regulation .In addition John assists clients with their regulatory issues arising from entry into the Australian market including financial services regulatory issues and foreign investment advice and applications ). John is a member of the ANREV Sustainability working group.
Justine is KPMG U.K.’s ESG Legal Lead focusing on all aspects of ESG law (including ‘soft’ law) and regulation. Justine also has significant in-house experience leading the legal aspects of transformation programmes as well as advising FS boards in connection with best practice for all aspects of financial services, governance - more recently incorporating ESG metrics - and legal risk management. Justine is an member of the City of London Solicitors Company, Lawyers for Net Zero, The Lawyer Influencers Panel, LexisNexis’ Banking and Finance Experts Panel, and a regular speaker on all aspects of legal critical thinking. Justine is registered as a solicitor with the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
