Andrew Moore is Head of Asia Pacific Real Estate at Schroders Capital, the private assets arm of Schroders Group plc, one of the largest and longest established independent global investment management companies in the world, with almost US$1trn of AUM. Schroders Capital invests in direct real estate across all asset classes in the most developed and liquid markets in Asia, creating value with our “hospitality approach” - treating every property as its own business – by re-positioning, physical improvement, rebranding and active management. The company currently deploys capital from relatively small closed-end limited partnership funds, which enables it to offer co-investments to its institutional investors from the US, Europe and Asia.
Andrew began his career in London in 1987 as a graduate with Edward Erdman Chartered Surveyors, moving to Nelson Bakewell the following year, where he became Associate Director. He moved to Asia with Jones Lang Wootton in 1993, taking on responsibility for office projects including The Peninsula’s tower extension in Kowloon and Jardine’s new development in Ho Chi Minh City. Andrew joined Jardine Fleming in 1995, as portfolio manager with the pan-Asian fund JF Asian Realty Inc, managing investments in Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia and Australia. In 2000, together with David Holdsworth and Singuz Lo, Andrew co-founded Pamfleet in a management buyout of the JF platform. The business built a successful track record as an operating partner, originating, co-investing and asset managing value-add real estate investments, with its notable transactions in Hong Kong including Vicwood Plaza, Kowloon City Plaza, Nexxus Building and KoHo. Pamfleet raised its first co-mingled blind pool discretionary fund in 2011. In 2020, as Chief Executive of Pamfleet, Andrew led the firm in its merger with Schroders.
Andrew has an Honours Degree in Urban Land Administration from the University of Portsmouth (1987) and a Masters, with Distinction, in International Real Estate from Hong Kong Polytechnic University (2005). He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors. Andrew is a member of ANREV’s Manager Advisory Council.
