The ANREV Investment Intentions Asia Survey 2022 focused on Korea market is successfully held on 16 March 2022.
The 2022 ANREV/INREV/PREA Investment Intentions survey attracted 99 respondents in total including 91 institutional investors and 8 funds of funds managers. Ms. Amélie Delaunay of ANREV, Ms. Jayme Han of JLL, Mr. Paul Lee of abrdn, Mr. Jae Ho Chang of Nuveen Real Estate and Mr. Leo Kwon of IGIS shared with us the key highlights of the survey and lead the panel discussions on Korea market.

Speakers
Amélie Delaunay is the Director of Research and Professional Standards for ANREV. She is responsible for the development and implementation of ANREV’s Research, Performance Measurement and Professional Standards programmes in Asia Pacific, including market information and performance indices, global surveys and promotion of best practices for the industry.
Amélie has more than 19 years of experience in the real estate industry and a strong real estate consulting background initially with Ernst & Young. She has been based in Asia for more than 15 years.
Educated at the Sorbonne in Paris, where she was awarded a post graduate degree in Urban Geography, Town Planning and Real Estate, Amélie also has an Advanced Master's Degree in Urban and Real Estate Management from ESSEC Business School in Paris. Amélie is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Jayme Han, Executive Director, is responsible for JLL Korea acquisition & disposition advisory serves in the firm’s capital markets group. Ms Han also takes on regional responsibilities focused on advisory, equity placement and distribution within Asia Pacific. She maintains and expands a solid network with managers and investors and lead fund raising across the region, as well as executing complex advisory and equity placement mandates. Ms Han has over two decades experience in the industry.
Most of her career was spent with National Pension Service (NPS), one of the world's biggest pension funds and a leading international investor, where she was one of founding members of its alternative platform and also led the opening & build-out of the NPS office in London. Her most recent role was with Tong Yang Life Insurance, Korea's sixth largest life insurer, where she served as a senior leadership in charge of its global and domestic alternative investments.
Jae Ho Chang is Head of Korea Institutional and Managing Director at Nuveen, the investment management arm of TIAA. Working with Nuveen’s specialist investment affiliates, Jae Ho focuses on delivering investment solutions tailored to Korean institutional clients’ asset allocation needs. Prior to his current role, Jae Ho spent 11 years at Nuveen Real Estate in various capacities including Head of Commercial Mortgage Separate Accounts.
Paul Lee’s role as abrdn’s Head of Direct Real Estate Korea is currently being expanded to take-on more regional responsibilities. Paul is one of abrdn’s more-experienced senior real estate professionals, with deep acquisitions, investment, asset management and disposition experience across different asset classes, focused mainly on the Seoul market. Paul leads abrdn’s team in Seoul, currently very successfully managing a Value-add office strategy for one of EU’s leading Pension Fund managers, including actively investing in one of Seoul’s largest office development projects.
He has more than 20 years’ experience in RE, covering both Equity and Debt, and Core, Core-plus and Value-add investment styles, across different real estate sectors - with more than 60 major real estate transactions completed. Paul joined abrdn in 2019 when it acquired boutique manager Orion Partners, where he had been head of Korea for 4 years. Prior to Orion Partners, Paul was with GE Real Estate and Samsung Life Insurance. He has Bachelor of Architecture from University of Illinois, and Master of Architecture from Cornell University.
Leo Kwon is a Senior Manager of Global Platform Investment Team at IGIS Asset Management. Leo’s role includes fulfilling overseas institutional clients’ capital allocation needs through investment platforms such as Korea Data Center Investment Platform I last year and Korea Logistics Investment Platform II this year. Leo’s latest focus is on successfully launching the first Life Science Center Investment Platform in Korea. Prior to IGIS Asset Management, Leo has worked in the field of real estate investment at various firms for 7 years.
