BOUWINVEST - Journey in building strategic data analytics capabilities - Session 1: Origination & Goals
The first in a three-part webinar series is successfully held on Tuesday 6th October 2020.
The series will follow the journey from the very beginning of Bouwinvest’s data analytics strategy from initial “Origination & Goal Setting” in Session 1, through “Processes, Challenges & Key Success Factors” in Session 2 and finish with “Results & Outcomes” in Session 3.
Marleen Bosma-Verhaegh, Head of Research & Strategic Advisory for Bouwinvest will walk you through the organisation’s challenges and successes with regards to data and its relationship to investment decision making. This includes providing an insight into how and why decisions were made relating to the storage and use of data, as well as the positive impacts these changes have made to their global, real estate business processes.

- Challenges & identified needs
- Stakeholder management
- Defined goals
This will be an optionally interactive session including four anonymous survey questions to complete upon event registration. The results will be discussed during the webinar.
This webinar series is delivered in collaboration with the ANREV Technology & Innovation Working Group.

Presenter Bio
Marleen is Head of Research & Strategic Advisory at Bouwinvest and is responsible for the firm’s strategic vision and global research output and is experienced in strategic implementation of data analytics. She joined Bouwinvest Real Estate Investors in March 2016. Her remit covers more than €12 billion in assets under management, within both Dutch funds and international investments.
Prior to this role Marleen was responsible for international property investments and strategic client advisory at Blue Sky Group. Her career includes research, portfolio management and client relation roles at FGH Bank, the Philips pension fund and Syntrus Achmea real estate. She has also served on several investor boards. Marleen is a member of the accountability body of pension fund PPF APG.
Marleen holds a Master degree in Real Estate Management & Development from the Eindhoven University of Technology, a postgraduate Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of Amsterdam, and is a registered investment analyst (RBA VU Amsterdam, the Dutch equivalent of the CFA). She is a participant of the Executive New Board Program at Nyenrode, Breukelen.
