At this event, Dr. Russell Chaplin of Aberdeen Asset Management gave us a presntation on the rationale for Japanese institutional investors to invest in real estate outside of Japan. Dr. Chaplin looked at various entry points available and the trade-off lkely to by incurred when implementing different routes into non-domestics real estate.
