ANREV briefing for the Investment Intentions Survey 2019 was succesfully hosted in Shanghai on Thursday 21 February. The 2019 survey attracted 148 respondents in total including 138 institutional investors and 10 funds of funds managers. Amélie Delaunay, ANREV's Director of Research and Professionals Standards shared with us the survey highlights followed by a panel discussion.

Amélie Delaunay Director, Research & Professional Standards ANREV Amélie Delaunay is the Director of Research and Professional Standards for ANREV. She is responsible for the development and implementation of ANREV’s Research, Performance Measurement and Professional Standards programmes in Asia Pacific, including market information and performance indices, global surveys and promotion of best practices for the industry. Amélie has more than 17 years of experience in the real estate industry and a strong real estate consulting background initially with Ernst & Young. She has been based in Asia for more than 13 years. Educated at the Sorbonne in Paris, where she was awarded a post graduate degree in Urban Geography, Town Planning and Real Estate, Amélie also has an Advanced Master's Degree in Urban and Real Estate Management from ESSEC Business School in Paris. Amélie is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

James Shepherd Managing Director - Research, Greater China Cushman & Wakefield James is Managing Director of Cushman & Wakefield’s Greater China Research team and has over 20 years of Real Estate industry experience. As a general practice surveyor James has dealt with all major property types including industrial, retail, office, residential, hotels and serviced apartments. He has worked in the Greater China real estate market since 1998 and is based out of Shanghai, prior to this he was based in Hong Kong. During his career James has specialized in research and due diligence across China as well as being responsible for valuation, fair value and impairment testing whilst he was Senior Director of Ernst & Young’s Shanghai transaction real estate team. He commenced his real estate career in the UK where, whilst studying for his real estate related degree, he worked as property agent in the industrial and residential sectors in 1996 and 1997.

Raymond ZHANG Managing Director China Orient Summit Capital Raymond ZHANG, Managing Director, is responsible for global capital raising and business development activities at COS Capital and prior to that was responsible for COS-Capital’s outbound investments to the US. Before joining the firm, Mr. Zhang worked for Gaw Capital Partners, responsible for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and structuring development and acquisition pipeline projects for four Greater China focused real estate funds. He led the acquisition and disposition of a number of real estate transactions and was actively involved in the fundraising process. Previously, Mr. Zhang worked as an architect at B+H Architects in Toronto, responsible for coordinating architectural design, master planning and sustainable design for over 3 million square feet of institutional, commercial, residential, educational and health care facilities. Mr. Zhang holds a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from University of Toronto. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional.

Chris Wu Managing Director - Investment & Development Chongbang Group Chris has 23 years experience in the real estate development industry and has been working and living in Mainland China since 1999. Chris’s former employers include MGPA (BlackRock), Link REIT, Simon Property Group, Shui On Land and the Corporation of London. Chris graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Accountancy and a Master of Science degree from Cass Business School in London. He holds a Masters of Corporate Real Estate (M.C.R) from CoreNet, a Diploma (Dip.M.) from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and is a member of ULI and ICSC in China.
