Speakers' bio follows:

  Randy Caenen

Currently, being based in Hong Kong, Randy Caenen is responsible for Risk Management regarding APG Asset Management’s investments in the Asia-Pacific region.
 
Prior to joining the Hong Kong office, Randy worked at APG Asset Management’s office in Amsterdam. Randy accumulated experience and knowledge in the fields of risk management, financial reporting, auditing, asset valuation and coordination of (project) teams. Among other things, Randy has been project board member for managing the AIFMD implementation project throughout APG Asset Management and is member APG Asset Management's global Emerging Markets Risk Committee.
 
Randy started his career at PwC where he coordinated many international financial services related assignments across Europe and the United States with a focus on Pension Funds, Sovereign Wealth Funds and Real Estate Funds.
 
  Joep Ottervanger

Loyens & Loeff
 
Joep Ottervanger is a resident partner in the Loyens & Loeff Singapore office. He is a member of the Loyens & Loeff Investment Management Group and an expert on investment management structures and fund formation. Joep is active both on the GP and LP side. On the LP side he represents fund-of-funds and institutional investors on their alternative investments which may be structured as funds, managed accounts or similar ‘tailored’ investment structures. On the GP side Joep represents fund managers active in a variety of asset classes such as infrastructure, real estate, renewable energy and PE. Joep is a regular speaker on the topic of investment management and fund structures.

Wee Hwee is PwC Singapore's Real Estate Tax Leader specialising in the area of fund structuring, REIT and tax minimisation strategies for real estate and infrastructure investments across Asia Pacific.
 
He has been with the firm for about 19 years and has advised clients on cross-border transactions including countries such as Australia, China, India, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, etc.
 
He is a frequent speaker on real estate tax-related topics and has spoken at several workshops and seminars organised by the Asia Pacific Real Estate Associations, the National University of Singapore and the Real Estate Developers Association of Singapore. Wee Hwee is an Accredited Tax Advisor, the highest level of qualification issued by the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals.
