The second ANREV Japan Seminar was successfully held in Tokyo last Thursday at the Palace Hotel.

This year's theme ‘Entering the new era - emerging sectors in Japan’, Dr. Martin Schulz, Senior Research Fellow of Fujitsu Research Institute delivered the keynote speech on Japan’s macro-economic trends, such as linking the growth outlook in Japan with investment in urban city systems, IT-based market dynamics including logistics, and efficiency-driven infrastructure trends in regional cities.

The seminar compared opportunities in Tokyo with those in other cities in Japan; we asked whether the healthcare sector can replicate the success of the logistics sector; and we invited both domestic and international investors to provide their perspectives on current market pricing.

This year's seminar attracted over a hundred institutional investors and investment professionals from the international and local unlisted property fund industry – provided an independent meeting place to hear from industry experts and to exchange views with senior peers.
