ANREV is pleased to invite you to join our briefing in Tokyo on Tuesday 29 January for the launch of our Investment Intentions Survey 2019. The 2019 survey attracted 148 respondents in total including 138 institutional investors and 10 funds of funds managers. Amélie Delaunay, ANREV's Director of Research and Professionals Standards will share with us the survey highlights follow by panel discussion.

The event concludes with networking drinks.

Amélie Delaunay

Director, Research & Professional Standards

ANREV

Amélie Delaunay is the Director of Research and Professional Standards for ANREV. She is responsible for the development and implementation of ANREV’s Research, Performance Measurement and Professional Standards programmes in Asia Pacific, including market information and performance indices, global surveys and promotion of best practices for the industry.

Amélie has more than 17 years of experience in the real estate industry and a strong real estate consulting background initially with Ernst & Young. She has been based in Asia for more than 13 years.

Educated at the Sorbonne in Paris, where she was awarded a post graduate degree in Urban Geography, Town Planning and Real Estate, Amélie also has an Advanced Master's Degree in Urban and Real Estate Management from ESSEC Business School in Paris. Amélie is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Charles Haase

Managing Director

Aetos Japan

Mr. Haase is a Managing Director of Aetos Japan, LLC, and is responsible for investor relationship management in Asia. Prior to joining Aetos Japan in 2018, Mr. Haase served as a General Manager in the U.S. Planning Group with Tokyu Land Corporation, and as a Managing Director in Global Business Development with Tokyu Livable, Inc. Prior to joining the Tokyu Group in 2012, Mr. Haase spent nine years with CalSTRS, investing in real estate funds globally and overseeing multifamily investments in the U.S. Prior to CalSTRS, he taught economics at San Francisco State University.

Mr. Haase holds a Ph.D. in Economics from University of California at Davis, and has lived in Japan since 2012.

 

Daniel Klebes

Dan Klebes is a Partner of GreenOak, based in Tokyo. Dan is Representative Director of GreenOak Investment Management K.K.

Dan has 30 years of experience in the Japanese real estate market, as an investor and investment banker. Prior to joining GreenOak, Dan founded and led GTO Capital Management, an investment firm where he advised and co-invested with clients in the United States and Japan. Previously, Dan was Chief Investment Officer for Japan for Aetos Capital Asia, where he led a Tokyo-based real estate team of over 100 professionals and grew assets under management by over $6 billion. Dan started his career in 1987 at Goldman Sachs and spent 10 years as a real estate investment banker in Tokyo and New York. In 1997, Dan founded Goldman Sachs’ Japanese Real Estate Principal Investment Area, where he led the acquisition of over $5 billion of Japanese real estate-related investments and helped build Goldman’s property investment and asset management operations from startup to over 200 professionals.

Dan holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and a master’s degree in East Asian Studies from Stanford University. He has lived in Japan for more than 15 years and is fluent in Japanese.

 

Masahiko Tajima

President & CEO

Kenedix Real Estate Fund Management, Inc.

Mr. Tajima is the President & CEO of Kenedix Real Estate Fund Management, Inc. (KFM) which manages 3 listed J-REITs (Kenedix Office Investment Corporation, Kenedix Residential NEXT Investment Corporation and Kenedix Retail REIT Corporation) and one private REIT (Kenedix Private Investment Corporation).

After joining the Kenedix Group in 2005, Mr. Tajima was responsible for REIT financing and investor relations as Director and the Head of Financial Planning Department of KFM. He was appointed the Head of Corporate Planning Department of Kenedix, Inc. in 2012 and Director & CFO in 2015. Prior to joining Kenedix, he worked at the Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited and Sumitomo Life Insurance Company, where he gained extensive securitization experience. With over 25 years’ experience in the finance, capital markets and asset management businesses, he has amassed rich experience and knowledge.

Mr. Tajima has a Bachelor of Law from Waseda University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
