Matthew Nortcliff, Partner, CMS

 

 

Matthew is a partner with global law firm CMS and heads the firm’s Funds and Indirect Real Estate practice in Asia. Matthew advises global and regional investors on all aspects of direct and indirect real estate investment, with a particular focus on outbound investments from Asia into the UK and Europe. Matthew also advises global and regional asset managers and GPs on the structuring and launch of investment funds investing across a range of strategies, from real estate and infrastructure to credit, PE                             and VC.

 

               Steve Kim, Consultant, CMS

 

 Steve joined CMS in 2016 as a consultant for Korea to lead business development, client management and market analysis. Steve, a US attorney, comes from a diverse legal and business background. Prior to joining CMS, Steve served as the director of International Dispute Resolution Centre at the American Arbitration Association (1998-2005), a senior counsel at Samsung (2006-2011) and most recently, country manager for one of the largest intellectual property management companies called CPA Global (2011-2016). Steve’s legal practice focuses on international arbitration, antitrust/compliance, intellectual property and corporate law (including cross-border investment, etc.). 

 

Rahul Ghai, Managing Director – Private Real Estate Asia, Partners Group

Rahul Ghai is part of the Asian Private Real Estate business unit, based in Singapore. He is a member of the Private Real Estate Investment Committee and has 15 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Partners Group, he was Head of Transactions, Asia-Pacific, and Head of Real Estate for South East Asia and Australia at Deutsche Bank Asset Management. Previously, he also worked for Standard Chartered Bank Principal Finance, Istithmar World, and Jones Lang LaSalle. He holds a joint MBA from ESSEC Business School and Cornell University and a bachelor's degree from the University of Delhi, India.

 

Alex Cho, Managing Director – Head Client Solutions Korea, Partners Group

 

Alex Cho is Head of Partners Group’s Seoul office and Head of Client Solutions for Korea, as part of the Asian Client Solutions business unit. He has been with Partners Group since 2008 and has 22 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Partners Group, he worked at Korea Venture Fund, Korea Development Investment Finance Corporation and Korea Venture Investment Corporation. He holds an MBA from California State University, Los Angeles, USA.
